What have they done to you, Mary Jane?
http://devildoll.livejournal.com/750924.html

Go look. Then come back, and I'll tell you what The Fabulous Wonder Boy had to say about it.

He is a big Spiderman fan. I showed him the pictures, and said, "I just want to see what you think of this."

First, he got that dubious, brow-furrowed, the-grownups-have-done-something-inexplicable-again look. "Um. Is this the only statue they have of her?"

"Yep."

"Er. Excessively pointed at men. And Mary Jane doesn't dress like that."

"So, do you think she'd be washing Spiderman's uniform?"

"No. Mary Jane is a very important woman. She doesn't have time to stay home and do laundry." As he wandered away, he added, "Very unrealistic."

I LOVE MY BOY. HE WINS.

Even though I've got a couple years on you I would like to say as a mother I aspire to raise a human being as a amazing as you have. He seems to view the world thru x-ray specs that are able to cut thru the bull at a single glance. He needs his own comic book.

Considering that Joe Quesada (the editor-in-chief at Marvel) is on record as stating that he wants to kill Mary Jane because 'having a wife makes Spider-man seem too old', it's not surprising that he'd okay something like this.

Marvel has been going downhill steadily, and don't get me started on the whole Civil War bullshit.
